GEOS Torrance is located in the business region of Torrance with a beautiful patio area where students can enjoy nature while taking breaks or relaxing after classes. Across the street from the school is the Del Amo Fashion Center (a shopping mall and entertainment center). Students enjoy spending time socializing, going to the movies, bowling and shopping.

Pathway
We have pathways to six great programs for students at all age ranges. With GEOS staff recommendation and completion of Advanced Levels at GEOS Torrance, you can study for an Associate Degree, Master Degree or Certificate/Diploma.

Requirements for the pathways:

Completion of the advanced level course at GEOS Torrance (Level 6 or TOEFL preparation course)
High School diploma
Transcript from previous schools
Bank statement and financial support for immigration purpose

NEW STUDENT ACADEMIC COUNSELING
During the first two weeks of study, all new students will
During the first two weeks of study, all new students will be asked to take part in an academic counseling session with the school's academic staff. Students will have the opportunity to discuss and work out any problems or concerns they may be having with their studies.

HOMESTAY COUNSELING
The Homestay Coordinator is always here to help students with any issues, questions, and problems they might be having with their homestay family. They are always willing to take time to listen to the students’ requests and concerns. Students come first!

INDIVIDUAL MONTHLY STUDENT COUNSELING
At the end of each four-week session, students enrolled in our full time programs participate in an individual counseling session with their teacher. Students receive a report card with their grades and comments from teachers about their performance during the month. During these counseling sessions students also set goals with their teachers

WEEKLY AFTER-SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
Each month there is something to do almost every day at GEOS. We offer free after-school activities Monday-Thursday for students that want extra practice speaking English. The activities are: Sing the Lyrics, Coffee Talk, Words in the News, Pronunciation Practice, Slang and Idioms, and Ask a Teacher. In addition to these free after-school activities, we offer planned, weekend excursions. One weekend you could visit Mickey Mouse at Disneyland and the next weekend you could go to Universal Studios! If an activity or excursion isn’t on the current calendar, we are always taking suggestions from the students. There is always something to do here at GEOS Torrance - Los Angeles and we’re here to help you have fun!
