NurOrda International School (NIS) was established in 2008 under the umbrella of the Kazakh-Turkish Educational Foundation KATEV. The KATEV is currently running 28 Kazakh-Turkish High Schools for gifted youth. Although the NIS is a new school, the success of KATEV schools serves as a great foundation to ensure the success of the NIS.

We have established our school to provide each student with the highest quality of international educational experience that inspires a passion for learning and intellectual vitality, and that instills the competence, confidence and courage to contribute to the global community and pursue his or her dreams. We are committed to promoting international and multicultural awareness and fostering a sense of ethical and social responsibility.

We cater for students of Grades 1- 7 (6-12-year-old students). Most of our classroom instruction will be conducted in English. The other languages to be taught are Kazakh and Russian as first / second languages and Turkish as a foreign language. We will teach 29-36 lessons per week to cover Literacy, Maths, Units of Inquiry (Social Studies), Art, Music, PE and IT. Our teaching staff come from English speaking countries, Turkey and Kazakhstan. Students will also benefit from services provided by the full time nurse, school doctor and psychologists. The school has all modern facilities required and is technically equipped with a semi-Olympic swimming pool, an outdoor football field and an indoor gym, a ballroom, a library and a conference hall for meetings.
