Citizens of SAARC countries- India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Pakistan, Bhutan and Afghanistan- need not pay visa fee for a period up to 30 days. Indian nationals do not need a visa but they need to show a valid document that ascertains their identity . Transit visas, valid for 1 day, are issued at the Tribhuvan International Airport for US dollar 5 if you show outbound flight tickets .
