Re: Asian Women: Up For Grabs *Picture*

Ashley, the answer is simple. Caucasian women. Without them, we wouldn't have had Asian exclusion acts in this country. They were threatened by Asian picture brides. Also, white American women have extremely strict criteria when it comes to dating. The look has to be right. The income has to be right. The height has to be right. The sexuality has to be right. Much of this is driven by the media, but lets face it, women drive the media, as media is driven by advertising. Women buy most automobiles, most houses, most clothing, most cosmetics, and most food. Therefore, the imagery found in advertising is targeted to the demographic that spends the most money. So, what do we have: men have to be very tall, very rich, slender, yet muscular, black or white (if certain criteria are met), and have a very large p...s. Since western media is dominant throughout the world, many women are starting to be corrupted by these standards. As Asian media gets stronger, perhaps some of this will change.

I know I'll get flamed for my response, but why else would Wilt Chamberlain have slept with over 10,000 women? Well, he fits most of the criteria of the white female fantasy: tall, rich, black, athletic, and "sexually aggressive", so they lined up.

Asian men, being rather gentlemanly, haven't a chance against such propaganda. -- I did say gentlemanly, not weak -- Having been raised a gentleman, and unfortunately being of shorter stature, I have yet to find a Caucasian woman that will go out with me, telling me straight to my face that they don't date "shorties". Strangely, they will date dwarfs. Go Figure. Asian women, on the other hand, seem not to judge me on how many millimeters my head is off the ground. A nice refreshing change. I truly believe that it will get better for Asian men when Asian media grows. Japan and Korea are growing their media, and now with China entering the mix, perhaps their influence will grow.

Dating Asian women most of my life, I could not help but become intimately acquainted with Asian men, as they all had fathers and brothers. I could call non of them weak or cowardly. Ask any WWII soldier that worked with filipino scouts or the fighting 442, and they will tell you of exploits of bravado that should be in movies. Ask any WWII soldier that had to face the Japanese military... none would ever call them cowards either. One will find the same answers from Korean War Vets and Vietnam Vets. Asian men that I have known are just as strong as any American man, and whether they were biologists, chemists, physicians, or auto mechanics, they were always gentlemen. The "brainy" stereotype should not bother any Asian man, as they work very hard at academic achievement, as they do with everything else they are involved in. Perhaps this is why Asians are referred to as Model Minorities. They work hard, protect their families, and put all their resources into the success of their children. Many western men have figured this out, and this is probably why Asian women are so popular (it's a closely guarded secret, but most men find good mothers sexy). Western women just have to catch up, and start viewing Asian men for whom and what they are, and stop following media trends. But perhaps they will have to start thinking in terms of their family, and not just themselves. -- I can feel the heat of all the flames now --
