Re: in response to the issue about non native speakers...
By:Victoria Clair <revdoc1947@yahoo.com>

hey Sam.......chill!

I'm one of those native speakers from the United States. I don't think I'm better than anyone else. I'm here to work and to experience the culture of South Korea. I respect the culture here. For the most part, I stand in awe of what they have been able to accomplish since the Korean War.

AND.....unfortunately, I also need to say that most Koreans who teach English are not really qualified to do so. The Korean government recognizes this and is taking steps toward better educating their English teachers. In the interum, they are inviting native speakers to come to help them shore up.

I'm not one of those Americans who thinks my country knows what's best for everyone else, or even for themselves. I think my country has a great deal to learn.....and some of that learning could easily come for Asia. I taught English at an American college for more than 14 years....so your idea that we are all a bunch of missfits who couldn't get a job in our own country is totally eroneous.

As a closing note.....you might do well to take another course in English before you attempt to write with the intention to bombard us. Your spelling, grammar and punctuation leave a lot to be desired.
