Beijing Sport University (BSU), directly under the General Administration of Sport of China, is one of the key universities in China and also a “211” Project University, a national project initiated in 1995 by the Ministry of Education with the aim of cultivating 100 key colleges for the 21st century. It is the only university that has the Category I discipline of sport science, which is one of the national key disciplines, and also the only sport university selected into the “111 Overseas Intellectual Resource Introduction Program”. Having an outstanding tradition of conscientious teaching and learning, BSU enjoys a high reputation both at home and abroad.

The University offers fourteen undergraduate programs in the areas of physical education, sport coaching, community sport, sport science, traditional Chinese sport, public affairs management, sport and industry management, journalism, advertisement, applied psychology, English, performance, dance performance, sport rehabilitation and leisure sport, among which three are selected as state-level characteristic programs, and four as Beijing characteristic programs.
