ESL Teaching and Learning Tips
Dear Publio,
I also commend you on your efforts and your devotion to learning another language. I would like to comment that because your post contains several errors it is somewhat ironic. 'Being fluent with perfect accent...' I think you mean, "Being fluent with a good accent" as you are missing the indefinite article and no one has a 'perfect accent' as accents vary from place to place in any language.
I should mention that I felt the need to comment for a personal reason. I am an American (US) English teacher in Rio and I daily hear the spiel about how native teachers are not needed here, and moreover how English is an easy language. I find this to be quite a shame as I think they are needed more than cariocas tend to realize, and people who think they speak 'fluent English with perfect accent' make more mistakes than the other Brazilian teachers could ever notice.
Tb espero o melhor pra voce la! So queria dizer como e...
Boa sorte!!
