6 and 7 year olds are my favorite to teach.

The are loud and there to challenge you.

1. You need a ROUTINE. Kids want to know what to expect EVERY class. Have the class the lesson plan, just add new material each class. They will know what to look forward to.
2. You NEED to simulate all their learning styles.
3. How long is your class? This is important. Mine are 90 minutes. That is a VERY long time. Ideally they are 45 mins.

If you do not have training in teaching little kids, it will get hard. They are demanding. Some teachers love working with adults, while others love working with kids. Find out what you are and go in that direction.
