English schools in Europe
Spain - Madrid
School:Inter-Com
Classes are taught by DIRECT METHOD, which follows a natural learning process. Ideally, they are held in English and are given by native language teachers. This means that students are encouraged to think directly in English from the very beginning. New grammar and vocabulary are introduced and developed through the use of highly controlled practice activities. At this early stage, the teacher concentrates on pronunciation, pace and intonation and corrects students' mistakes. Once students have mastered the basics, they begin to practise more naturally and apply what they have learned to realistic situations.
Inter-Com English cooperates with public and private schools to teach extracurricular English classes to their students. Students of these classes vary from pre-school children who are in kindergarten to those who are in their final year of secondary education. Students are given the option of taking the Trinity College or University of Cambridge Examinations at the end of every year.
