Many thanks for the lowdown on Wuhan life. Before I read your report, I was in two minds whether to accept an invitation to teach at a lowly private college there for 5000 RMB a month. However, now I've decided against teaching there, or for that matter, anywhere else in that city. My main reason for declining the position is that the people there are rude. I'll accept a job offer in Xingtai, Hebei, instead. Money the same for the same hours, but I reckon it'll go farther and the locals will be friendlier. And the fact that it's a public college must surely count for a lot too. Thanks for the heads up about Wuhan.
