Get Drunk in Sin City on a Budget
By:Travel Expert

There are more ways to snag a cheap drink in Las Vegas than by receiving a free drink from the cocktail waitress who comes around once every leap year while youre gambling. When traveling to Vegas on a budget, or if you just want to save a few bucks, there are several places to drink for nearly free. Not only does the Las Vegas Strip have several locations, but downtown Fremont Street does as well.

Unless you are a female, clubbing and drinking just do not mix in Las Vegas. You will be paying not only the twenty dollar entrance fee, but ten dollars or more on a small, watery cocktail. If you are still in the mood to dance, almost every bar in Vegas has loud music and a dance floor. Hop on over to Bill's Lounge at Bill's Gambling Hall and Saloon located between Bally's and the Flamingo on the strip. There, they serve 99 cent frozen margaritas. One margarita equals a shot of tequila with a little bit of lime or strawberry frozen flavor. After a few of those you will be entering yourself in their nightly Karaoke performances.

Not into the sweet drinks? Walk one block past Bally's and head on into O'Sheas Casino located right across from Caesars Palace. There you will find dollar drafts on select beers, or if you have a case of the drunken munchies they also supply a three dollar hot dog & beer combo. O'Sheas is also known for the weekly beer pong tournament, every Thursday at 4 pm.

Another great discount bar and casino is Casino Royale located between Harrah's and the Venetian on the Strip. At Casino Royale, they serve dollar margaritas, similar to Bill's Lounge, but they also serve dollar Michelob if you enjoy the bitter taste of beer instead of the fruity flavors. Casino Royale is also conveniently located next to the Strip's 24-hour McDonald's. After you've had your share of drinks, head on over to McDonald's for their dollar menu.

Besides being one of the only casinos on the strip that still plays penny and nickel slots, Slots of Fun has great beer specials. They offer select two dollar beers, which includes Heineken, Coors Light, and Corona. Slots of Fun is next to Circus Circus on the north side of the Strip.

Old, downtown Las Vegas is also a great experience. Fremont Street has several great deals, but the most popular is at Four Queens Casino. They sell half yard stick frozen cocktails with Bacardi 151 for only eleven bucks. Add an extra shot for only one dollar, and refill your half yard for only $4.99. With your giant beverage in hand you can enjoy the Fremont Street Experience. Crowds of people will gather outside Fremont Street to enjoy the vintage light show. There is nothing like it on the Las Vegas Strip.

Being in Vegas is a one of a kind experience. Where else can you walk around on a strip filled with bright, neon lights with a drink in hand and a cop will not budge? One last way to drink cheap in Las Vegas is to stop at almost any gift shop in the hotels or on the strip. A 16 ounce can of beer cost no more than two or three dollars. You can walk around the strip with your drink, but it also wouldn't hurt to stock up on these cheap beverages for the hotel room or pool.

Next time you are planning on going to Las Vegas, don't stress about how much money you may spend, especially on alcoholic drinks. There are several deals all over the strip and especially downtown on Fremont Street. And don't forget for any cheap drinks, hit up any bar on the Strip for their happy hour specials.
