San Francisco: 10 Incredibly Motivating Reasons to Visit!
By:JeanPierre Prieur

Francisco is the coolest destination on the west coast and the nation. The area sports over 300 hotels that offer tremendous discounts. This includes luxury hotels and accommodations in the area that are "tourist friendly." Although Los Angeles may be the biggest city in California, San Francisco has always been the "place to be" to relax and really experience life in style. It is one of the most fascinating places around, bar-none. Fisherman's Wharf alone provides a wondrous fun-filled dining and seaport experience, worthy of a vacation all by itself!

The Golden Gate Bridge is a "must see" on any bay area vacation or excursion. Built in 1937, it was the longest suspension bridge at the time of its construction. You can walk, drive or bicycle across the bridge. At times, the bay's fog can hang low enough that views of the bridge appear to be suspended "in the clouds."

Alcatraz Island or "The Rock," as it is known, is a retired federal prison that has housed the likes of Al Capone, "Machine Gun" Kelly, and Alvin "Creepy" Karpis from the "Ma Barker Gang." No man had ever successfully escaped from the prison. Many tried, but all failed to navigate the 1.5 miles of frigid water to get to the San Francisco shoreline. Tours are always available to the island.

The University of California at Berkeley has long been known as a liberal arts institution and is part of the University of California school system. The campus grounds are beautifully lush and green and home to over a dozen interesting and tasty eateries that are available to the public.

Cable cars have a long standing tradition within the rich history of San Francisco. The first cable car was put into operation in 1873 at the top of Knob Hill. The cable cars are still in operation, and anyone can purchase a ticket to ride a cable car as they board, seven days a week.

The Castro/Upper Market neighborhood is a beautifully vibrant and eclectic area known for it's quaint charm and numerous restaurants and shops. The area has become a very popular tourist destination in recent years. This friendly village has always been connected to the popular culture of San Francisco and its diversity.

Did someone say, "Nightlife?" The city has some of the hottest and most stylish nightlife in all of the bay area and the country. With exciting, stimulating night spots like "The Cellar," " the DNA Lounge," The Infusion Lounge," and "Suite 151," you may even run into one of your favorite celebrities! Make sure to bring your stylish threads.

There are so many museums in San Francisco, we can only name a few: The San Francisco Railway Museum, "Ripley's Believe It Or Not!" Museum, and the incredible world famous "Exploratorium." Additionally, the WWII submarine the "USS Pampanito" and the Battleship the "USS Hornet" are on display. More include the haunted "Winchester Mystery House," the "Academy of Sciences Museum," the "Asian Art Museum," and the "Aquarium of the Bay," to name a few.

San Francisco, and it's proximity to everything, gives you a sense that all you need is within arm's reach. This has also made it a favorite spot for business travelers and vacationers alike. People who visit San Francisco consistently say it is the most fun and exciting vacation spot on earth, and that it is simply a pleasure to "move about the city and get around." This is because of access to transportation and the simplicity of the city's infrastructure, street design/architecture and its layout. People also love the city because of how close all the attractions, eateries, stores, restaurants and everything else is in relation to each other. There is no doubt you will love San Francisco!
