How to Visit Celebrity Graves at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills

Whenever you to go Hollywood, you can take a tour of the houses that famous movie stars have lived in over the years, You can also take a tour of the celebrity graves of many more famous actors. Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills is a cemetery that can boast to be the final resting place of movie greats such as Bette Davis, Lucile Ball, Freddie Prinze and John Ritter.

Pick up a map of the park from the vendors at the main gate. Once you enter the main gate, turn left, and follow the map to Vista Lane. Park your car in front of the Court of Remembrance. Look to your left before entering the main court area. The tomb marked Davis is the resting place of Bette Davis, her mother and sister.

Walk up the steps and through the main entryway. On your right you will find the graves of Clyde Beaty, Charles Laughton and Lou Rawls.

Saunter forward and after stepping up one more set of steps. In an alcove to your right, you will find the memorials for Alvy Moore and Harriet McGibbon who played Mrs. Drysdale in the old "Beverly Hillbillies" series. Her tomb is inscribed with her married name of Harriet M White.

Cross the next courtyard to see the tomb of Liberace on your right. Look to the far north east corner of this courtyard and in an alcove you will find the markers of Forrest Tucker, celebrity Lucille Ball and Walter Lantz--the creator of Woody Woodpecker.

Continue east through the next entry, walking deeper into the Court of Remembrance. Half way through this entry way, on your right side is the crypts of George Raft and Freddie Prinze. Continue through the entry way, and turn to your left. Here you will see the tomb of Albert Brocolli--the producer of some of the James Bond movies. A few steps further shows you an alcove with the remains of Troup and London and Rod Steiger.

Stroll around this courtyard, following the wall to the east, and you will find the final resting places of Morey Amsterdam and Isabel Sanford. Walk to the far east and enter the next set of structures. In an alcove to your right you will find the celebrity grave of Sandra Dee.

Hurry around the south side of the primary courtyard, and you will find a secondary court with the graves of Hollywood greats Leon Graves, McLean Stevenson and Andy Gibbs around the back side of the far south wall.
