Cape Cod - Never miss a thing! A memorable drive of a lifetime! Bike riding around the Cape Cod would be a lot of fun and adventurous in nature. This could be your one-stop solution for mountain bike information and for road cycling.

It was an isolated area once before, but now Cape Cod has become a super bikeway spot. On the parallel, you may also see relics of the Cape’s rail days, as you carefully look when you ride along the trail.

A drive around Cape Cod comprises of miles of beaches, resort towns, lobsters and many more. The drive can virtually take you through all of Cape Cod: while you watch the quiet villages along the bay side.

Some of the paved bikeways include Province lands, Cape Cod Canal Bikeway, Cape Cod National Seashore, Cape Cod Rail Trail, Nickerson State Park Network, and Shining Sea Bikeway.

Some of the Off-Road bikeways could be Willow Street (Hyannis Ponds Conservation Area), Trail of Tears (West Barnstable conservation Area), Otis Atwood Conservation Area, Old Jail Lane Conservation Area, Hathaways Pond Conservation Area.

Isn’t it exciting to learn about the bikeways that are hundreds of miles running through marshlands, forests, rivers and coastline? Yes it is for sure! It is called as a Paradise for Biker’s! Numerous trail networks make them unique in taking perfect advantage in the summer and fall seasons. One could ride throughout the winter as well.

It is ideal for cyclists/bikers, due to its hills, paved surface and well-marked automobile crossings. At the same time, it can even accommodate runners, walkers and horseback riding.

Bike Trails brings you the best satisfying and adventurous experience of all as compared to other available services such as Shuttle bus services, Taxi services, and car rentals and so on. Trail maps are always available at the request. There are many facilities to rent bikes in numerous places, for your own further explorations.

Some recommended rides are:

Cape Cod Canal Bikeway - This bikeway extends 7-8 miles along the Cape Cod Canal, between the Bourne and Sagamore Bridge.

Cape Cod Rail Trail – This is a premiere bike path. The terrain is quite easy to moderate. Runs 20 miles from Dennis to Eastham, passes salt marshes, cranberry bogs, and cuts through Nickerson State Part.

Shining Sea Bikeway – This is an easy one with 3 ½ mile coastal route between Falmouth and the /Woods Hold Parking Lot.

Try to let three to four days to enjoy this circuit, which can be travelled spring through fall, when the season’s weather is generally temperate and most attractions are open. Especially on weekends, the summer traffic can be heavy. Supplies of food and water are also readily gettable. At National Seashore Headquarters, you would find public restrooms too.

Cape Cod has a much developed and growing network of bike trails which cover some of the area’s amazing landscape. At large, Bicycling is an enthralling and enriching way to experience the scenic beauty of Cape Cod. You’ll certainly find miles of bike trails for your enjoyment.
