Outdoor fountain in Las Vegas, free and spectacular
By:Will Eller <will@elitemassagechairs.com>

If you are visiting Las Vegas one free attraction you will want to see are the spectacular outdoor fountains in front of the Bellagio. You do not need to rent one of the rooms at the five star hotel to marvel at one of the several professionally choreographed musical routines displayed by the outdoor fountain.

The outdoor fountain blasts water as high as two hundred forty feet in the air. The water jets cover a horizontal area of over 1000 feet forming a massive wall fountain spray that fades away instantly. The spectacular water garden fountain utilizes 1,214 water sprayers. The fountains are centered in an artificial lake that spans 8.5-acres and cost $40 million to build. The water fountain features over 4,000 white lights and over 1,000 different aqua expressions.

The outdoor water garden fountains perform in rhythm with several choreographed musical routines. On weekdays a routine begins every 30 minutes between 3 pm and 7 pm and every 15 minutes until midnight. On weekends each routine begins at noon.

One of the most fascinating aspects of the outdoor fountains is how they are affected by the weather. Rays of sunlight, wind, clouds, and time of day have unique interplay with the sprays of water to make each show unique.

A common, but strange sight at these spectacular water outdoor fountains is a drive up wedding. Limousines pull up and the guests, bride, groom and preacher jump out and run up to the patio and perform the wedding right there.

This spectacular free show is worth witnessing if you are visiting Las Vegas, but a lot goes on behind the scenes to keep it running. The water outdoor fountains are monitored twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, three hundred and sixty five days a year by a staff of thirty seven employees. This is necessary to keep the show running glitch free.

The staff mostly cleans the equipment but they also use multiple types of water sprayers, a powerful fog system, pumps, and special equipment to purify the water and to keep the show seamless.
