Always remember to take note of the most helpful information about New York before traveling in this exciting place. This will make your holiday escapades in New York truly enjoyable.

New York is also known as the Big Apple. It is the biggest city in the U.S and is amongst the most populous urban areas in the world. New York City is the quarters of well-known business institutions and a lot of global functions.

New York has four seasons. Summer can get as hot as 90 degrees Fahrenheit, it can be very humid during this season. It can be very relaxing in New York City during the Fall season with 50 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Winter hits New York with its chill at 35 to 41 degrees Fahrenheit. Spring time can be really energizing with 50 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit.

To visit New York City travelers from other countries are obliged to secure a visa from the American embassy so as to visit the U.S. However, the Visa Waiver Program allows international tourists from 27 other countries to travel the U.S. with no visa. This program requires passports that are machine-readable.

New York City has three prominent airports that cater excellent travel service. These include Newark Libert International, LaGuardia Airport and JFK International Airport.

There are some details and planning that you need to consider in your visit to the Big Apple. Here are some travel tips to keep in mind whenever youre spending a holiday in New York City:

a. Clothes with well-hidden pockets are very practical when carrying wallet, passport and other important things that you may need while traveling around the city.

b. Subways are the best way to wherever you are going. Wear your most comfortable pair of shoes, historical buildings and most popular places to visit is just a step away after the other.

c. Enjoy the ferry to Governors Island. The ferry sails off from Battery Maritime Building in Lower Manhattan to a 70 hectare island in the middle of New York Harbor. It offers amazing scene of the Statue of Liberty and the skyline.

d. Visit the Brooklyn Bridge. It is the greatest suspension bridge in the world and the most famous architectural structure in the American history. The bridge has inspired countless artists with its amazing beauty.

e. Relax and enjoy nature, come visit the Central Park. Amidst the busy life of traffic, rush and high-rise buildings lies the Central Park where you can jog, walk and breathe or just simply rest without the buzz and noise of the city. The park also offers line of events and activities
where park visitors may participate.

f. A trip is never absolute without shopping. Shop your heart out on one of New Yorks finest stores - Bloomingdales, situated at Lexington Avenue. But if you want to get a markdown on designer goods with a wide range of choices visit Century 21 just across the street of World Trade Center. Shop where the annual Thanksgiving Day Parade is celebrated Macys Herald Square, also recognized as the Worlds Largest Store the store has ten floors and fills an entire straight block in the middle of 7th Avenue and Broadway.
