7 Important Traveling Tips When Traveling to North America
By:Benny Horowitz

Looking at the North American map, you will discover that there are only five countries! Still they make up for also 9.4 million square miles and span over seven time zones. Besides the so well advertised places, there are so many other things to see and do on the North American continent.

1. Niagara and the Grand Canyon

Go see these two wonders of nature. You will need a very good waterproof jacket for approaching as much as possible the falls, and a complete camping gear to spend a few days discovering the wild Grand Canyon.

2. 4th of July

Join in the celebrations of the 4th of July which is maybe the best well known national day all over the world. The fireworks and celebrations will make you feel like it is New Year's Eve all over again, but in July.

3. Sports

Put on a sporty outfit, buy a ticket and go to a hockey - in Canada - or an American football game. Although you may actually not understand the rules of the game, you will most definitely have a lot of fun watching the fanatical fans support their teams.

4. Foods

Beware! You are about to take on several pounds if you do not stop eating those delicious Canadian poutiness and the American ribs and apple pies.

5. Tequila and sombreros

Even though you are not into drinking stronger staff, take a sip of the original Mexican tequila. You will feel like catching fire on the inside, so wear a new sombrero that will protect you at least from the sun outside.

6. Morgana effect

After this hot experience, you may consider going all the way across North America, to Greenland. If you see things magnified, floating in the air, closer than they should be or inverted, do not worry, you are not experiencing any side effect from drinking tequila; it is just the Fata Morgana effect that occurs here.

7. Religion versus Gambling

Parts of the continent are highly religious, imposing strict rules and prohibiting improper manifestations such as gambling. Others - and the name Las Vegas says it all - are idyllic places for those wanting to indulge in cards games and dreaming about quick ways of becoming rich.
