Your Personal Spanish Course
Students who go to Cuba, or any other Latin American country, to improve or perfect their Spanish come from many different countries and each brings along his or her own experience, level of attainment and goals. Some want to improve their conversational skills while others want to improve their grasp or command of Spanish grammar. Raúl Martínez de Villa Rodríguez is a university trained linguist who teaches Spanish, English, French and Italian and he starts off by assessing each student’s individual needs and aspirations before tailoring a truly personal study plan which also takes into account the time available. The result is a course which gives the individual student a strong sense of personal achievement and progress and that is why we call it Your Personal Spanish Course.
The academy is located just one block from the Central Square in Remedios and is housed in a splendid nineteenth century colonial building set around a charming courtyard.
The head of the academy is a 31-year old university graduate in foreign languages. He trained in translation, interpretation and teaching and before founding the academy he gained valuable international experience and communications skills from working with overseas travel agents and tour operators.
Courses are tailor made and typically consist of structured lessons which combine listening, grammar and oral practice. Study material will be provided but students may find it useful to bring their own laptops or flash memories to copy certain teaching materials and aids.
