To Whom It May Concern:

I have been employed at Qinzhou Foreign Language School for 2 years now. The first year I completed a one year contract and I can say things went realy well. At the end of the year I did the advertising for the school and dramas with the student, the school was so impressed that they hired me on for a second contract and i was happy to sign since the first year was really good. Unfortunately thats when everything went down hill. Qinzhou Foreign Language School spends all their money building a High school and then went under a new head master. I am now paying for my breach of contract to leave for a better job. I have seen many foreigners come and go just as fast, well to be exact Ive seen 3 run away and they were so turned off by how they were treated that they left China altogether and went home. The school is covered by lies and that is followed by lies to try to cover their past lies. Foreigners have to deal with a foreign teachers board that is scared to support them due to the fact that their bosses will punish them for not supporting the Chinese leaders. My friend who is also employed here is actually being RENTED to a primary school in the city here and I know that the school is making money off renting him since I have heard it from many people. In our contract it states that if you work outside of the school you will receive overtime pay for every class on top of your fixed salary of 4000 RMB. Technically he should receive every class he works in overtime and his fixed salary of 4000 RMB but they are as usual lying and not paying him any overtime, just his fixed salary meanwhile charging the school more to rent him and making money off it. Since I decided not to run away I gave the school 3 weeks notice of me leaving and the money for breach contract. One week before I am scheduled to leave they tell me I will not receive a letter from the school for proof of service, a letter proving that I paid the breach of contract and I left under good terms, or even a copy of my first contract that I completed there which they told me they have but I cant have a copy. On top of this they told me all the sudden that I was a terrible teacher and it is no problem for me to go but if you asked them two months ago I was the best guy they had. And like ten minutes after they told me I was a bad teacher they want me to stay and work for them, when I refused and said I was going to pay the breach of contract they told me that they will make my life difficult, make it hard for me to work in China again, and call the Canadian Embassy to report me. I still dont understand them calling the Embassy since Ive done everything the legal way but this is what life is now like at Qinzhou Foreign Language School.
