I would like to add something to John's review about Da Yang Training School. I also came close to obtaining employment from Liita. While I was in England for a holiday I responded to her ad that she had on the ESL board. Having been in China for 10 years I was quite aware of how ridiculous certain parts of her contract were once she sent it to me. I emailed her back and asked her if she would be willing to change certain things and make some a little more clearer. When she did respond her emails had nothing to do with anything I had originally asked her about. She was telling me that I could take pottery class and that the school would find me a pottery teacher!!! I even went as far as to call and speak to her directly. It was then that she informed me that I had to pay for my own visa and "sort it out myself."

Any experienced foreign teacher in China knows that you cannot sort out a Z visa yourself without the invitation letter from the school. I told her this and was met with "So you can come tomorrow right to my school and start teaching." I agree with all of John's points he made.

For someone like myself who has experience in China this is easy to see through. However for a new teacher who is not experienced it could be a disaster in the making.
