I would like to give a warning to ALL. This school seemed fine for the first month then the time came to pay me overtime and all hell broke loose. Since I had already worked they had to pay and did but with a lot of yelling and the manager throwing a chair. Later when I said the apartment bills were too high over 160,000 a month, this is when things got interesting. The owner said he owned the building yet now says he doesn't own the building. They said there is nothing to do about the bills. A week later I was given a form to sign about overtime and also about the apartment that states I will not say anything no matter what about the apartment. I refused to sign this as I didn't have to. And that following Friday I was given a letter of termination. I would like to say they don't follow any laws not even of Korea. The management lies and will try to get you to do things that are illegal. I did not get airfare home or any other pay. If you choose to come here then be ready to be fired and have no airfare home.
