How to Become a Star in a Crowd
By:Larry Icabandi Nabiong

Gregariousness is a social need. No one is born to be aloof, feeling outcast or what. Each one needs to feel accepted, respected, etc.

Yes, we have here to exert all effort to really make the life of the show, a live wire as they say. Well, we have to learn the basic things in making the necessary programs of attaining a positive aura of being accepted as the one exuding confidence and attitude towards life.

Be simple a person you can be. Yes, instead of pretending someone you are not why lie to them when you can be yourself no matter what. Either they accept you as you are or choose to ignore whatever flaws you may have.

Be a good listener. More people are for someone who is a good listener; one who knows when to speak up and when to shut up. Right timing is important, when one is having a problem and he is sharing it to you, you had better listen than interrupting him as if you are not interested to lend your ears. Also, one best way of getting the trust of a friend is when he needed you and you had the time listening to him.

Be observant of someone's feeling when you are speaking up your opinion or what. Yes, words can hurt people even you do not mean to hurt them. You rather seal your lips than to utter words that could hurt people's sensitivities, except you are really after something or what just to prove something.

Be easy to be with. Yes, exude happy disposition and chances are people would be happy to be with you around. Once you become irritated or something they would never be at ease with you around lest they did not have other option but to make do with what they have got.

Be a positive influence to them. Always observe manners when dealing with people. Show your best you, not beast you when you are with them and having a bad day.

Yes, once people see that you are nice and good to them they would be nice and good to you. But, of course, to ensure positive and meaningful interactions with them, observe tact, patience, etc. as a badge of being educated and enlightened one.

Be a star with a substance, and share your learning experience to others for them to have some guidance when it comes to dealing with people who sometimes do not know where to stand.

When some unpleasant event occurs, it is just a manifestation that a breakdown in communication has just happened and you must do something to fix it soon, lest you want to experiment further and see what wisdom you could get in the process in knowing yourself better and people around as well.

Yes, a crowd-drawer has the power to learn from the interactions and lucky enough to learn in the process.
