Winnie the Pooh Themes

Winnie the Pooh is a favorite among children of all ages. Pooh bear, was originally created by A. A. Milne, who authored a collection of stories based on the lovable character and friends from the Hundred Acre Wood. Since then, Disney has taken over the license and produced numerous animated movies staring Winnie the Pooh, including several feature length movies - The Tigger Movie, Piglet's Big Movie and and Pooh's Heffalump Movie.

The stories of Winnie the Pooh are not only entertaining to viewers, but also touch on many themes that can relate to children and touch them on a personal level.

The characters in the stories of Winnie the Pooh are all different animals that each have their own different personalities, strengths and weaknesses. Eeyore is a purple grey donkey that is characterized as a gloomy and pessimistic. While Rabbit is practical and looking out for everyone, Piglet has a stutter and is a timid and often attempts to be brave and conquer his fears. Owl is the wise one that the characters always look to for advice and help. Tigger loves to bounce and often brings trouble with his carefree attitude.

The stories of Winnie the Pooh and have a strong emphasis on friendship that binds both the characters and the storylines together. The characters look out for each other and help one another whenever a situation of need arises. Although they all have their differences in appearance and personality, they promote a healthy attitude of friendship and comradery.

The Winnie the Pooh stories are not only entertaining, but offer life lessons for children as they grow.
