Modern Fable: The Herd Remembers.
By:Robin Day B.Sc. M.Sc. B.Ed. <cowboy4444@hotmail.com>

The bulls lived long while cows and calves kept pace in peace o'er the endless sea of grass. Milk flowed, calves lowed, seasons grew and passed, night and day, moon and sun, feasting never fast.

With the last old bull the bullocks went to fighting. On and on they sparred, decades no resolve. Haste and waste, many torn, others starved worn. They waited fate in such a state, and the Beast came swift from the sea. More battered, all scattered, yet the bullocks fought on, kin against friend with the burdon of the Beast.

Aghast, at last a great one rose from the fray. All remembered the old days, the old ways, the life of the herd, the law, and the word. They turned their horns together.

Look, there, now! The many meek rise and repel the oppressor.
