Hello Jennifer. You may need to be more specific as TEFL and ESOL are generic terms, not individual courses. And within those two labels you'll find the good, the bad and the ugly from a variety of providers - some accredited and some not.

I'm guessing that you mean: "What is the distinction between the Cambridge University Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA or CertTEFLA as I’ve seen it) and the Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CertTESOL) from Trinity College?" If you are referring to these two courses and qualifications, then both have a recognised pedigree and are recommended.

There is a Cambridge University certificate course designed specifically for young learners so I'm also assuming that this is what you meant- "The Young Learner (YL) Extension to CELTA is an add-on to the popular CELTA course, giving you the skills and confidence you need to teach English to children or teenagers.”

There’s also a website to support teachers with a range of free material when you register for the website.
