Teacher Training Schools

USA - Massachusetts - Boston
By:Teaching House Boston <info@teachinghouse.com>

Now offering courses year-round, Teaching House at Feneuil Hall offers full time University of Cambridge-accredited CELTA Teacher Training courses, giving students the opportunity to have an engaging academic and cultural experience.

Located in the historic Faneuil Hall of Boston, Teaching House is just a brief walk away from Quincy Market and City Hall, and other great historic sites. We are located next to the MBTA Blue and Red Lines at State Street Station, centrally located to all of Boston. For easy public transportation directions, click here. If you choose to drive, Teaching House Boston is easily accessible from all surrounding areas with many public garages nearby ranging between USD 15 to USD 35 for a full day.

Teaching House has developed a very strong CELTA course and produced virtually every conceivable document, assignment, input session handout and teaching practice point that we could think of.
However, the program can be adapted to your everyday life. Indeed, IH New York offers three different schedules for the CELTA course. Each course follows exactly the same syllabus and leads to exactly the same certification from the University of Cambridge. The choice of which one to attend depends on each candidate’s own needs and availability. We hope that at least one of these options work for you.

Intensive Course (4 weeks)
The 4-week course is very intensive and requires full-time commitment. In addition to class time, you can expect to spend a part of most evenings and at least one day over the weekend working independently on lesson planning and course assignments. Cambridge ESOL recommends dedicating a minimum of 20-25 hours a week outside of the course to this work. 100% attendance is required. Employment during the course and very long commutes are strongly discouraged. A clear schedule for four weeks is the best approach to take.

Extensive Part-Time Course (10 weeks)
The Part-Time Course is equal in nature to the Full-Time Course but is spread out over a longer period of time. It is designed for people who have other full-time commitments (work, study, etc.). Candidates need to commit to attending the course for the complete period and doing course work at weekends and/or on alternative days of the week when they are not studying on the course.
