An independent after-school program in Beijing is looking for a full-time ESL teacher.

East-West Kids was created in 2015 and had an extremely successful first year. In addition to ESL classes, we offer a variety of subjects like ceramics, art, robotics, and STEM. We offer classes in several formats: one-to-one, small group (6 or fewer students), and online. Additionally, we are looking to expand by creating a kindergarten. We have full- and half-day summer camps, and this summer we will launch our special summer camp trip to the United States!

Demand is higher than our current teachers can handle, so we need your help in building a great school where the best from Eastern and Western cultures can meet! Unlike many larger chain schools, we are looking for a partner to be an active part in our development. As such, you’ll work 40 hours per week.

Requirements:
University degree (this is mandatory for the Z work visa)
Certificate: TESOL/TEFL; higher priority for CELTA
Experience (not just teaching, but babysitting, camp counseling, etc.) is preferred, but not required.
You should obviously enjoy working with children. You should be able to work mostly independently and have the skills to plan and execute lessons.

Package:
A salary between 10000-17000 RMB/month. This figure depends on experience, but it also depends largely on your performance and student retention rate. We can discuss details during the interview.
Paid Chinese national holidays plus 5 personal days per year. Depending on performance and class schedule, you may be able to take an additional one week vacation.
Round-trip ticket
Airport pickup and hotel for the first 7 days while finding long-term housing. We can help you find a suitable apartment.
If preferred, we can provide you with furnished, one bedroom apartment for a deduction in your salary.
Training for one week in August. You will join us on our trip to Houston, TX where you will receive one-on-one training from our senior teacher.
