English schools in the USA and Canada

Alberta - Edmonton
School:NorQuest College

For nearly 30 years, NorQuest College has been a leader in English language training. We have developed the curriculum, resources, and skills to provide top-quality ESL instruction. Our talented and highly qualified instructors bring a wide range of expertise to the classroom.

More than 500 students study English as a second language (ESL) at NorQuest College, making this the largest ESL school in Edmonton. Our students represent nationalities and cultures from every part of the world. We offer a variety of excellent English programs and courses to meet our students’ diverse needs. Canadian Language Benchmarks are an integral part of our programs.

Our two comprehensive programs are ESL Intensive and LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada). ESL Bridge to Business Careers is an intensive program that prepares students for post-secondary business training. Other programs provide direct access to employment. These include Transitions to Trades and Apprenticeship, Transitions to Technical and Engineering Careers, and the new Practical Nurse Diploma for Internationally Educated Nurses. A variety of part-time courses such as TOEFL iBT Prep, Speaking Clearly, and Writing Clearly are also available to help you prepare for your future.

LINC classes are held at the Westmount Campus, which is only 10 minutes from downtown Edmonton and has excellent transit service. ESL Intensive, other programs, and part-time classes are held at NorQuest College’s Downtown Campus.

The Westmount Campus has computer and language labs with computer training for all students, a listening centre, and an extensive library. There are also educational, counselling, and employment services, anglophone and francophone student advisors, a large student centre, and a friendly lunchroom cafeteria. The Downtown Campus offers all College services.
