English schools in the USA and Canada

Ohio - Dayton
School:University of Dayton - Intensive English Program

Through the University of Dayton's Intensive English Program, students benefit from a concentrated and intense language program combined with a true American university experience. UD’s Intensive English Program aims to introduce language learners to the American culture through continuous interaction with American and foreign students on campus. Through field trips, our conversation partner program, intercultural living communities, and involvement in student clubs on campus, our students develop strong English skills preparing them for the university classroom or the work place. As University of Dayton students, they have access to the leading technology in higher education, including technology for language learning.

Courses are available in grammar, reading, listening, TOEFL preparation, pronunciation and more.

Our mission is:
To provide instruction in current English usage within the context of American culture so that non-native speakers of English can successfully function in an English-speaking environment

To provide supplementary English training to university students who either have been conditionally accepted pending more English achievement, or those full-time students who find a need for more training in order to be successful in their chosen program

To provide supplemental English training to university staff and family members as needed to aid in their integration into an English speaking community

To serve as a source of advice, support, and assistance to the University of Dayton community in the development and implementation of an internationalization strategy for the campus

To assist in the continued internationalization of the campus by encouraging IEP students to consider the University of Dayton and aiding in the admissions process
