The institute is housed in the Bemis International Center on the beautiful campus of St. Norbert College overlooking the Fox River in De Pere, Wisconsin -- a suburb of Green Bay. The ESL Institute teaches English as a Second Language (ESL) to foreign students who want to prepare for a professional career or for an American university degree program. Some ESL students are preparing to study degree programs at St. Norbert College. Some students come for short courses in our ESL summer language and culture classes.

St. Norbert College is located in the small city of De Pere (20,000 people). De Pere is a suburb of Green Bay. The city of Green Bay and its suburbs have about 200,000 people. De Pere/Green Bay is about 4 hours by car from Chicago; 5 hours from Minneapolis; and about two hours by car from Milwaukee and Madison. Madison is the State capitol and home to the University of Wisconsin. It is a one-hour flight to Green Bay from Minneapolis, Chicago and Detroit.
