Recruiting agencies are a particularly wise choice if you want to reduce your school's teacher turnover.

Post ads on TEFL, EFL, (English as a Foreign Language) and ESL websites. Most teachers search job postings online before looking anywhere else for English teaching positions. Some of these websites are free for recruiters and others require advertising fees. In general, all ESL job websites allow you to post the details of your job position as well as information about your school and job requirements.

Run print ads in local English newspapers or newsletters. Most large cities in foreign countries have some form of local English newspaper for Anglophone residents that feature classified ads. It is particularly useful to place ads in local English papers or newsletters if you are looking for ESL teachers that are already living in a specific country.

Be prepared to provide references. Many EFL and ESL teachers are reluctant to accept positions without verifying working conditions, references or school reputation. Provide contact information, such as an email address, for three of your current teachers so that prospective teachers can get in touch and verify the conditions of the job and your school.
