By:Jurinsthea Smith

Oftentimes, teachers are bombarded with a question "quit teaching, now what?" after the profession. Mostly, they can't actually answer that since they haven't thought about it as of the moment. Quitting a profession is always hard and moving forward is even harder.

In order to help our dear mentors cope up with such an unpleasant experience, here's a list that you can do right after you quit teaching. However, it must be noted that you must be emotionally and physically ready to proceed. These are just some of the things that you can do for after quitting teaching.

Thing 1: Find another career. If ever you are still in the mood for work, it would be best to find another career. This may span from a new teaching career in another school or perhaps a totally new profession. It would totally up to you whether you precede such or not. Nonetheless, having new career paves financial stability and something to be done. At least you will not get bored at home doing nothing and you get the opportunity to work again.

Thing 2: Go on a long vacation. Another wonderful thing that you might eventually enjoy doing right after quitting would be to go on a long getaway. Since you were working before, I guess with all the time that you currently have right now you can be able to venture on one terrific break. You might use your last salary to go over a trip abroad trying to experience new things, new cultures and one relaxing days or weeks for you. I think it is about time to give yourself a little reward for the years you spend in working as a teacher.

Thing 3: Bond with your family members. Since you have all the time in your hands right now and no work as of the moment, the time can be used to spend with your family. This can be a good opportunity to bond and talk with them which you may fail before when you were busy working. Perhaps, do a little catching up with your kids or perhaps your spouse. Dine out together once in a while or treat them to one fancy dinner at a restaurant nearby.

Perhaps these things can now be your answer if ever you are asked "quit teaching now what". Hence, these are in fact productive and nice items to take note of even though you are no longer working.
