Because we always want to be praised than to be criticized, we always shun to do mistakes for the belief that we become a butt of jokes of our colleagues and the like--if we make a blunder or two. So we would rather stay comfortable inside our own shell and never ever try to experiment and eventually find something worthwhile, not only for your own benefit but for others as well.

Criticism is considered by many as a personal attack. But if we are just being objective handling it not as an affront, we could see the wisdom of listening to it and find the gems which need to be polished for the betterment of our own work or whatever we are into.

We have positive and constructive criticism. We have negative and destructive criticism. Whichever type may we elicit from our work or what, we need to face it with courage and determination to get the essence of such a criticism and apply that in our work. We never know it might be the missing link to our work to become successful.

So next time you do a thing and hear comments, whatever it is, just take it lightly and do something constructive out of it. And it does not mean to confront the giver but to just silently see the vitals presented.

Saying something new, out of this world, and the like, would surely elicit different reactions-- some violent, others negligible. Remember how did the people during the time of Ferdinand Magellan laughed at his theory of circumnavigating the earth starting off from the west or so... and finally he proved them all wrong in believing that it was craziness to pursue the unthinkable!

Do some earth-shaking act, and people would make fun of you at the start; later they would see the vitals and believe otherwise.

Being a nobody means: say nothing, do nothing and be nothing! So, if you want to be somebody just say something and do something! Do not be afraid of criticisms for they are part and parcel of the process of learning, living and loving!
