What Triggers Bad Classroom Management?
By:Jurinsthea Smith

Bad classroom management is something that teachers must avoid. As much as possible they must be able to maintain a good and healthy atmosphere inside the room which will be conducive to learning for the students. However, maintaining one can be truly difficult and demanding as well.

In line with such a common predicament, you must first identify the items that can trigger bad classroom management. This is particularly important so you can be able to avoid these things and maintain a good class management. Here are some pointers that can be truly beneficial for any teachers out there.

Item 1: Disruptive student. This is one triggering item that you must be able to handle at first strike. Any student who is misbehaving in the classroom must be contained in order not to influence other students inside the class. Hence, it is important that you take note of the students who have the tendency to become disruptive. If ever misbehavior occurs, warn the students or perhaps give a light consequence so that he or she will not do the act again. In addition, his or her other classmates would also know the possible penalties so they themselves will not follow the action.

Item 2: Noise. Noise is another item that can trigger bad classroom management. Hence it is important that whenever you discuss some things and sudden class uproar occurs to have easy and instant solutions so that they will keep quite. If ever you forgot to minimize it, they will continue chatting with their classmates and the room will be filled with noise and chit chats. Thus, it is particularly important to get their attention again back to you so that they can focus again on the lesson at hand.

Item 3: Distractions. When you are conducting a class you must see to it that your students would put away distractions behind. Suggest to them to keep their phones and gadgets away and put them inside their bag. It is also preferable that you all other notes from other subjects, pocketbooks and the like will be also set aside. Any distraction they might encounter can eventually lead to them not listening to you. Hence it is extremely important that you tell them these rules prior to the lecture.

These are just key items that can truly trigger bad classroom management. In fact there are still other things that can contribute to such. As a teacher the only thing you can do is of course to let your students know about this and also stop these occurrences at first strike.
