Oftentimes, it has been said if you don't like your job like lecturing, then quit teaching. Some may see it is the right solution especially if you are no longer happy with your work. But quitting also means surrendering. As a young adult and a professional, surrendering is a bad thing to do.

In reality, quitting teaching is not the only solution for today. As a matter of fact, there are many things to consider before even deciding to stop the profession. As much as possible you got to be objective enough in coming up with a solution. After all you are not the only one dependent on that job. You got your family to support as well. Here are the reasons why to quit teaching is not the solution for you.

Reason 1: If it is your money resource. Teaching for one is a major money resource. Especially if this is your bread and butter, this is very important for you to sustain your needs and wants. Leaving teaching is not suggested if this is your prime origin of money. If you feel that you are no longer happy but got no choice because you have no other job, then it is better to stick with the teaching job. Quit the said profession if you already found another work.

Reason 2: If you got no where else to go. We all have choices to make. But if teaching is the only thing as your fall back, then you've got no choice but to stay and remain in it. This is suggested especially for those who are already old in terms of age and this is their comfort profession. If you feel that teaching is the only way to go until your retirement and you don't want to resort to something else, then better stick with it. What you would only need to change is your current perspective is to have a positive frame of mind that will aid you to continue with the job.

Reason 3: If many are dependent on you. As a teacher you are not only living for yourself, your profession is in service to others. Thus, you must take note that you are not only working for yourself and your family. You are also working for the students, your co teachers and the school administrator. Teaching is perhaps a profession that touches many lives. You might no longer be enthusiastic with your profession, but others are enthusiastic and eager to listen to you. Thus proving worthy that to no longer teach is a bad idea.

These are just some of the reasons why leaving the noble profession of teaching is not suggested. As a matter of fact there are still many reasons anyone can web from it. As a rule of thumb, don't work only for your survival, consider the ones who surround you and are looking forward to you. When you quit teaching, you lose to it and many others as well thus, think really hard if such a decision is worthy.
