How I Got Around Life Being A Bad Speller And My Goal To Fix It
By:Neville Grundy

How I got around life being a bad speller and my Goal to fix it. This year I have a dream to become a good speller, I have been creating blogs and the spelling has driven me nuts. These blogs have motivated me to relearn the English language. Many people just do not try to do anything new or fix up their old bad habits and use many excuses.

Because I am not a good speller I would like you to realise that there is a lot in life that you can get around, In this article you will find some of my greatest achievements in the written communication and some other achievements as well. These days I do not often trade because of health reasons of both my wife and myself but have or do you know anybody that has pulled of several deals on markets where they got over %200 return.

Therefore, I love doing and putting the blogs together and realise that it will be much easier when spelling and grammar are under control. By the way, my reading is OK but not the best, which means that I not disadvantaged to greatly.

At school I never really learnt English properly, at grade 11 I got less than %10 and there are a huge number of reason's for that which I waint go into now. Except that many words I say are not the actual word in English, Hmmm that makes spelling really bad, and may have came from hearing infections as a child. I am looking forward to the day where spellcheckers are no longer a nightmare, and you don’t have to guess the right word and hope for the best, you can write what comes to mind freely just like speaking.

In my world I got around written material by

1. Having a proofreader. 2. Speaking. 3. Never relying much on documents. 4. Getting other people to do the writing.

Some people are amazed that I do public speaking, and sometimes speak up to 1 hour in front of an audience, with 1/4 of a page usually torn or ripped to make it smaller. The things that enable be to do that in a charismatic way is only because 1 I have trouble reading my own work, and 2 because I do not like typing everything out in full. I use 1-5 words as a memo for each point I want to make. I guess you need to know your material well to do that, but I have never fully typed a speech out since about 1988, which is years ago now.

I guess the good point of all that is you don't need notes and your confident in what you are doing which allows you to walk around, never or rarely need pulpits or lectins to hold books and notes up. I find that this really connects with the audience.

The disadvantage of doing this is your notes are on a page or 1/4 of a page, and therefore can blow around the place when you are not looking. This takes me sometimes well into the speech before I realise that I do not have them. This creates a bit of a wait and laugh game for the audience that is aware of what has happened to them, and I am always in the mood for a laugh too. Bogging is fun and to do it you need to be a good speller. Wow, this is probably the best thing that has happened to me to get me motivated to spell.

Other facts that will motivate me also are · Creating books. I have plans for 3 · Creating seminars. I am currently working on one. · People going off a an misspelt word (most people think that it is the end of the world but let me ask you this, have most people ever had a week where they earn $4,000 in a few days? I don't think so.)

An interest ring fact- I best ever document that I wrote was a 5-page sponsorship document where it brought in · $2,000 in free advertising · $8,000 in cash

Which means a total of $10,000 - this is not much but when your not a good speller it an achievement. Do most people that write produce a document where the can get $10,000 in for something? I don't think so. Other Document I have written · Acquittals for Festivals ad grants which ad up to about $30,000 - $40,000 · Political newsletters which were read by Politicians, party members etc · Motions that have become political party policy.

Positions I have been in as a bad speller · President of a political branch · vice President of a federal electorate campaign · vice President of a Political branch · Treasurer of a municipal electorate campaign · Treasurer of a Festival · Board member of a Non Profit Organisation · Forman of a workshop · IT of a company · Database Programmer of several other companies which form the cor hub of there business.

Places where I have Spoke · Churches in many locations · Schools in many locations · Youth Groups in many locations · Organised Breakfasts · Tent meetings and campaigns · Universities in several locations

I look at the above and think to myself It could be easer if I could spell. My leadership would only increase.

However, those of you out there that can spell Can you do what I have. If you think about it most of the above is communication - I challenge you to communicate more Step up in life - Overcome your challenges Just LIKE ME, Have a go.
