Thanks for posting this. It is all too true and I know because I taught in China on and off for ten years.

Now I'm having difficulty finding a job in China because I'm American Chinese, not a 'bilingual Chinese' which means that speaking Spanish and English don't qualify me, but if I spoke Chinese and English, I suppose it would.
