Singapore (Woodlands St)
School:Singapore American School

Established in 1956, the Singapore American School (SAS) is an independent, non-profit, co-educational day school offering an American based curriculum for preschool through grade 12 expatriate students. Located on thirty-seven acres in the Woodlands area of Singapore, the purpose built and newly expanded school includes state-of -the-art facilities for students at all grade levels. Over 50 different nationalities are represented among the 3800 students attending SAS.

The campus includes four distinct divisions: Primary School (preschool through grade two), Intermediate School (grades three through five), Middle School (grades six through eight) and High School (grades nine through twelve).A separate and purpose built Early Childhood Center (ECC) provides a special learning environment for preschool and pre-kindergarten (age 3 and 4) students.

One of the things that make Singapore American School a fun and interesting place is that each school year provides new opportunities for growth and learning for all of us, which is all part of life-long learning.

As a school, we are dedicated to provide engaging and meaningful learning opportunities, connected to U.S. and international standards and “best practices,” that appropriately challenge and support each and every child. When we refer to our school’s Strategic Focus, these interests align to Academic Rigor and to Extraordinary Care for the Welfare of Each Child.
