English schools in Asia

Taiwan - Taoyuan
School:EZ English School, based in Taoyuan

We are a private children's English school in Taiwan. Established in 1996, we pride ourselves on our first-rate teachers and staff dedicated to bringing a superior education.

EZ English School, based in Taoyuan, Taiwan, specializes in giving elementary school students a strict environment in which to learn basic English skills. Our intensive, after-school program is designed to give students a strong foundation in all areas of the language. Our students are more confident and better prepared to continue learning English in school and later in life.

Our teachers:
Our classes are taught by native English speakers who speak Chinese. Many other schools use two teachers in the classroom--the Chinese teacher handles the main lessons and the discipline, and the native English speaker spends an hour singing songs, playing games, and practicing conversation. We believe that a single teacher who is entirely responsible for a class is a much more effective leader. Our teachers go through at least 96 hours of paid training. We emphasize consistency in teaching style, pronunciation, and standards. EZ teachers are also devoted to helping students outside of class.

About Taoyuan:
Located 45 minutes south of Taipei, Taoyuan is a rapidly growing area with a population of 348,000. Easily reached by train and the site of the international airport, thousands of foreigners come here for work opportunities. Bilingual street signs and billboards are common.

Typical daytime temperatures in Taoyuan are around 30°C (86°F) in summer and 20°C (68°F) in winter. Winters are rainy and cool while summers are hot and humid.

Taiwan is a modern island-nation, home to twenty-two million people who have maintained their independence from mainland China. Outside of the bustling, industrialized cities, Taiwan's countryside is marked by idyllic mountains and coastlines, earning its namesake "Ilha Formosa," or Beautiful Island.
