Travel, Teach, Live in China
To echo what Mic wrote, there are many horror stories you should be aware of. I wish that those of you who are interested in working in China would check the archives in this forum. There's lots of good advice and warnings to be found. I find it hard to believe that anyone would sign a contract without checking out the situation first. If you do so, fine, it suggests to me that you have an adventurous spirit. So be it, just remember the contract won't protect you - it's only there for them. Also remember that you can bail on outta there if it becomes necessary should they prove to be among the many unscrupulous schools or agents in China.
Beyond all that, good luck - it's definitely a trip and a half.
