How exactly do you go about it? Many people seem to reccomend just eating the plane ticket cost and flying over to look the old-fashioned way, but I get conflicting accounts about which visa is necessary to search for work while there. Someone told me all you need is a tourist visa, but a friend of mine who is currently working in Beijing said that there are specific "look-for-work" visas that you can only acquire in Hong Kong.

Anyone have any reccomendations for the process?
