Travel, Teach, Live in China

In Response To: Reality Check (Peter Rainham)

I know this may sound offensive, but China is obviously not for everyone, of course not for someone who expect to make it rich in this country just because he has a white face. ESL is more than "face" or "skin" and money is not the only thing that counts. How much does 3000 or 5000 RMB a month mean for living in China? An example. A sumputous 4-course banquet in a high-end restaurant in Sichuan may cost you less than 50 RMB. And you don't have to pay rent or utilities.

True, this field is not well regulated. Lucky we are. If it is well regulated, many of those who like "face" so much would have had a slim chance of finding a job in China. My personal observation is that it won't be very long before that day comes. Anyway, it's none of my business and I am not too much worried.
