RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

1. Develop, maintain and execute an international marketing plan for Optopreneur College.

2. Conduct market surveys and analysis to identify target markets for international student recruitment.

3. Consult with departments and staff to identify programs of interest to international students.

4. Identify potential international experiences for International College students and staff.

5. Develop international student recruitment materials, including translation into other languages.

6. Organize Optopreneur College advertising to recruit international students.

7. Develop and maintain the International Education Web Page.

8. Organize Optopreneur College participation in international education fairs and marketing outreach activities.
9. Assess international students needs and "best practices" for support services at other postsecondary institutions in Malaysia.

10. Develop revenue and expense projections for long range planning for international education, and make budget recommendations for the next budget year.

11. Develop study and work abroad opportunities for Optopreneur College students.
12. Plan and implement workshops and events to promote international education.

13. Research and write proposals for international education initiatives.

14. Advise and counsel international students in the development of an educational plan, choosing a program of study, and/or clarifying educational goals; guide the student through this decision making process.

15. Develop and coordinate processes for responding to questions and concerns from international students related to immigration issues, application, registration, fees, Residence and other College services)

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Undergraduate degree in a relevant field // High School are welcome

Experience in international education and international student recruitment

Experience in the development of marketing material and strategy

Fluency in a language other than English highly desirable

Ability to work in cross-cultural settings

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Strong research and writing skills

Organizational skills and initiative; ability to work in a team environment

Creative problem solving skills

Problem-solving attitude to approaching issues, while exercising independent judgement and ethical decision-making with a minimal amount of supervision

Experience with adult learners in a post-secondary environment an asset
