Harbin’s first Joy school was founded in April, 2002. With five branches in Harbin and over 3000 students, it is currently the leading children's language school in Harbin. By the end of this year there will be 15 Joy schools in Heilongjiang province.

Joy is a unique school because it has it's own curriculum for the students to learn from. The students receive text books, exercise books, homework books, audio tapes and in some cases VCDs.

As for the teachers, there are many resources to help with teaching. This includes: new teacher training seminar, one on one training from experienced teachers, VCDs, teachers manuals for the text books, game files, flash cards, props, and many experienced Chinese and foreign teachers willing and able to help you.

Joy has four levels of classes. Beginning with Kindergarten, Young Learners, Regular Learners through to Super Joy. Students can attend Super Joy after they have completed and graduated from all 12 books from the regular Joy series. This can take as little as three years. Three years is an amazing time to watch your students grow and learn English. It can be a very rewarding experience.
