Vivid English Club(VEC)was founded in the summer of 2005 in Jianwai SOHO. At inception, VEC was a brand new company with lofty aspirations, an innovative approach to English-language education, and a meager 300 square meters of administrative and educational space. A measly three years has elapsed; yet, VEC is now the largest English-language institute in Jianwai SOHO and Beijing's entire Central Business District (CBD): 2,000 square meters contain fifteen classrooms.

VEC's business and teaching practices have been recognized in reputable and widely distributed newspapers and radio stations: Beijing Legal Evening, Beijing Morning Post, FM 91.5, and HIT FM 88.7. In January 2008, China’s Educational Training Institute awarded the "Greatest Development Potential","Most Professional","Most Influential" and "Comprehensive Excellence" awards to VEC.

Our premier language institute has a single mantra:"Total English Immersion". The influx of English-language schools in Beijing has greatly inflated quality teaching. In other words, few language schools in Beijing offer teaching that results in measurable linguistic improvement. While other schools may hire unqualified teachers with speech impediments or strong non-native accents, VEC only hires teachers who were born and bred in a country where English is the primary language. Our teachers come from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. Many of them have higher degrees or certificates such as TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA. All of them are passionate, devoted teachers who strive to clearly communicate and thoroughly educate their students in English grammar, syntax, history, and culture. Over the last three years, more than three thousand students have graduated from our courses. VEC students leave with a better command of English; more confidence and courage in their speaking ability; a definite American twang to their speech; and long-lasting friendships with Chinese staff, foreign teachers, and fellow peers.
