Established in 2002, Shenzhen Foreign Languages School Longgang Branch is a brand new, private junior high boarding school that is sponsored by Shenzhen Lilan Yexin Shiye LLC, Inc., in full cooperation with the original campus. The founding of this institution has been approved by the Shenzhen Bureau of Education. The Longgang Branch School is under the direct supervision of Shenzhen Foreign Languages School (SZFLS), one of the most prestigious school systems within Guangdong Province.

The original campus of Shenzhen Foreign Language School was founded in 1990 and it is a public junior high school funded by the government. It is one of the best schools in Shenzhen with a special emphasis in English, and it is one of only thirteen schools with a guaranteed placement of 20% of its students into the best colleges in the nation. In it's fifteen year history, the school has sent many of its students to famous universities, such as Qing Hua University, Beijing University, Zhe Jiang University, Shanghai Fudang University, and Beijing Foreign Language University.

Longgang Branch is the only branch school in the Shenzhen Foreign Language School system, and it is directed under the guidence and supervision of SZFLS. The Longgang Branch school, located on Rongchao Road, covers an area of 37,000 square meters within Buji Town in Shenzhen’s Longgang District, one of the quickest growing economic centers in Guangdong Province.
