Today I would like to give you IELTS some tips for helping you in the writing section of the test.

So lets start with the first point

1. Before starting, you need to think about structure. Ask yourself - "What do I want to say and how can structure this in a easy and understandable way without deviating from the question.

2. I recommend working on Task 2 to start with. It is more easy to tackle and you can score more marks.

3. Don’t waste too much time on Task 1. It is worth less points than task 2. Try to break down the data. The examiners are looking for suitable verb tenses here. Also some of the structures here might apply for task 2.

4. It is very important that you try to write something! Yes it may be tough but you have to just go for it and do your best, if you lack content then you will of course lose so many marks...

5. It really is all about practice, so get familiar with previous questions. Again and again focus on task 1 and 2 and get a native speaker to show you your mistakes and to offer suggestions.

6. Your vocabulary is key. Try to learn keywords within topic areas. Try to "throw in" these words, as this will really impress the examiner. But make sure you know exactly how to use these words!

Just a few tips for you today. I will write more soon. I am a teacher with so much experience in IELTS so if you need help email me or get in touch at my site.
