Formal Education:
Minnesota State University, Bachelor of Arts: Anthropology. May 13th 2005.
Anthropology is a study in Culture, History, Human Biology and Linguistics.
Fuzhou Normal University studying Chinese Language and Culture during 2013-2015.
Completed a student exchange program with Oxford University in England in 2004 during this time I also toured France, Germany, Italy and Austria. Completed a student abroad program in China in 2005.
Completed a University Courses in “Methodology and Teaching of Language”, “Speech Communication” and “Linguistics”. Competed four years in secondary school on the Speech and Debate Competition Team and was a team captain for two years.

Relevant Teaching Experience:
I have worked in every level of education in China teaching in Universities, business schools, secondary schools and kindergartens. I have taught full-time higher education schools for 10 years on subjects including oral English, reading, writing, public speaking, listening and western culture. Prior to coming to China I worked as a teaching assistant for two years in my home university under a scholarship program.

Teaching Methodology:
I focus my classroom instruction on four aspects. The first aspect is of course English and its mechanics and idiosyncrasies, the second part consists of the culture of English speaking countries and global perspective. The third aspect of teaching consists of language independent speech communication skills. Finally, I attempt to initiate personal growth in my students in terms of confidence and cognitive skills.

Additional Experience:
Travel is my passion, I have visited 18 different nations, 3 continents and visiting over half (30+) of the United States and (20) Chinese Provinces. Visited many famous cities of China including Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Xian, Chengdu, Urumqi, Lanzhou, Guilin, Kunming, Huangshan and Nanjing.

Goal:
I’ve been teaching in China for several years and during this time I have developed a refined lesson plan that covers the yearly teaching cycle. As a foreign teacher, my goal is to make every student able to communicate more fluently in English, have a deeper understanding of English culture, show that English is interesting as well as important to the future of students and finally emphasize ways to improve confidence, motivation, critical thinking and expression.

Current Status and notice:
I am currently living in China and seeking employment for Fall semester 2018. I would prefer a location around Jiangsu, Anhui or Zhejiang and I am looking for a University, College. I am quite healthy and I enjoy teaching very much.
