Y Zhang teaches courses in developmental reading and writing, English for Academic Purposes (EAP), content-area literacy, and teacher education. His research interests are discourse analysis (media discourses and business and marketing strategies discourses), sociopsycholinguistic processes of written communication, and adult language acquisition and pedagogy. He has been offered a position of professor of developmental English/writing in the Florida State (Community) College system (https://www.fscj.edu/discover/directory/faculty-administrative-and-professional-personnel). His teaching experiences include also being a faculty member of Shanghai University, China, an offered visiting senior faculty position of Guangzhou University of Foreign Languages and Trade, and an offered guest professor at a career and technical college in Qingdao, Shandong, China. His main professional career development objective is to seek an integrated professional employment that combines the prospect of post-doctoral interdisciplinary studies (e.g. Postdoctoral Bridge to Business program accredited or endorsed by Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) http://www.aacsb.edu/events/bridgeprograms/bridgetobusiness), and the function of a teaching professor in an academic or professional field of high demand.
