TEFL qualified ESL teacher looking for short term contracts (6 months) starting 2018

I recently had the opportunity to become an ESL language teacher teaching and living in Shenzhen, China. As well as what the job has taught me about teaching and working with children, living independently abroad for a year has given me great life skills and experiences. I am now ready to continue what I have learnt here and apply it to a new challenge. A graduate of the Arts (Fashion image making and styling) from the University of Salford. I have gained skills and knowledge beneficial to the working sector. Throughout my previous work experience I have gained a good work ethic as well as being a passionate, friendly, hard working and creative individual. I have good time management and organisation skills and believe I would be an asset to my future employer.

The course included modules on how to plan and conduct lesson for various ages and skill levels. How to overcome language barriers and how to maintain class management and work with children.

I have recently worked as an ESL English language teacher at Kuichong elementary school in Shenzhen, China. I was an oral and written English language tutor for students in grades 3,4 and 5. I am responsible for improving the students oral English skills through my given classes. I have over fifty students in each class which requires good classroom management skills as well as authorative and leadership skills. I prepare all my own lesson plans and teaching materials and give fifteen classes to my students weekly as well as English clubs and after school activities. Teaching has greatly allowed me to improve my time management, organisation and team work/leadership skills. I greatly enjoy teaching and interacting with students and watching them grow and improve as a result of my teaching. I also teach private one on one lessons to middle school students (aged 13) as well as conducting after school art lessons with kindergarten students.

Through participating in the ESL course provided by SEADRAGON EDU and my experience as a qualified ESL teacher it has given me great experience and knowledge dealing and working with children of all ages.

OUTFIT; BRAND SPECIALIST/ TEAM LEADER -
My previous role as a TOPMAN brand specialist and team leader at OUTFIT included interacting with customers and delivering a great level of customer service. I oversaw the whole of the TOPMAN brand which included reading and responding to weekly/ monthly and yearly sales reports and targets. This was done by visual merchandising, altering the department visually creating commercial sale success. I was also the brands solo visual merchandiser, dressing the window displays and floor mannequins with the latest trends and altering them due to sales reports. This was a very fast paced and ever changing environment.

Urban Outfiters; Team leader; June;
As a team leader at the extremely busy flagship Urban Outfitters store in Manchester I gained experience managing a team of staff. I was responsible for daily handling and overseeing of a team of people, dealing with problems, customer queries and delivering feedback to members of staff. Other duties include opening and closing of the store and cashing up at the end of the work day.

TOPSHOP; Sales/ Brand specialist;
As a sales assistant at TOPSHOP I was responsible for dealing with customers and delivering a good level of customer service. General sales duties as well as cash handling.
